In 2017, Global Woman magazine launched its Global Woman Awards with a big goal to recognise the talented women who are giving a positive contribution to their society all around the world.
The Global Woman Awards recognise the achievements of women who represent different backgrounds, nationalities, cultures and ages. Our aim is to empower women locally and connect them globally. Women who are contributing for positive change in the world, women who build communities, and share their talents/skills to help other people, deserve to be recognised globally.

We are proud to announce that this year, Global Woman Awards are now open. We have built communities around the world such as: London - UK, Paris - France, Amsterdam – The Netherlands, Stockholm - Sweden, Oslo – Norway, Brussels - Belgium, Vienna - Austria, Frankfurt - Germany, Bucharest – Romania, Milan – Italy, Tirana – Albania, Singapore and South Africa, and in the USA – New York City, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Dallas etc.
You can nominate any woman from any place in the world, who you think deserves recognition in one of these categories mentioned above. The finalists of the Global Woman Awards 2020 during the Virtual Global Woman Summit 2020 broadcasted in the GW Lobby App..

Can I nominate more than one individual?
Yes, you can nominate as many individuals as you like. Please ensure your nomination meets the requirements for entry. You can find our award’s guidance and criteria HERE
Does it cost to nominate? Or is there a charge to nominate anyone?
Our awards are free to enter.
However, if you are selected as one of our shortlist, you will be invited to a prestigious ceremony, with which there is a ticket cost. You will be able to buy individual tickets and/or tables from the Global Woman website, once the shortlist is announced
I was nominated last year but I didn’t make the shortlist/winner’s event, can I enter again?
We would encourage all of previous entrants to re-enter for the awards. However, previous winners will not be recognised for a consecutive year.
What if I am nominated multiple times?
Those nominated a number of times are treated in the same way as a single entry. We will use the most comprehensive nomination received in the judging process. Those who receive multiple nominations do not have an advantage over those who only receive a single nomination.
I have been nominated and want to nominate someone else?
We absolutely encourage nominees pay it forward and nominate others.
Can I nominate myself?
Ye, you can nominate yourself, or be nominated by someone else.
Can I nominate a man for the awards?
Yes, last year we have opened a special category to recognise men who support the vision of women empowerment. You must specify that the man that you nominate is for The Global Man Award.
Can men nominate?
Absolutely! Throughout the process we will be encouraging men to nominate their partners, friends, colleagues or any woman who they think is deserving of an award in the selected category.
Can I nominate a woman who is not a member of Global Woman Club?
Yes, of course you can. The nominations are open for all women around the world, regardless of whether they are members or not.
Will my personal information be published on the site?
When you complete your additional information, you will be asked to supply a biography. This, along with your name, company and profile image, will be the only thing published on the site.
When you submit your additional information, you will be asked to confirm that you are happy for us to publish your bio and headshot.
What if I have made a mistake on my nomination form (e.g. wrong category, incorrect email address)?
If you have made a mistake on your nomination form, please contact us as soon as possible via
Global Woman Awards finalists will be decided by 50% of the public vote and 50% the judges. (Profiles are published on the Global Woman Lobby page
Should there be more than one finalist with the same number of points, it will be decided either by the number of judges votes, and if still level, by the Global Woman team.
Please note the judges’ decisions are final.
How does the public vote contribute to the final winners?
We appreciate some individuals have bigger networks than others. We encourage all nominees to use their social networks to call for votes should they be shortlisted. The vote count is a factor in the judging, however the amount of votes does not necessarily determine the winners of each category. The public vote for each category will be based on points according to the placing. If there are 10 finalists, first place will receive 10 points, 5th place 5 points and all others zero points. The same process will be applied with the judges.
The vote count alongside the judging are the only two factors in awarding for each category.
The judging panels will acknowledge five finalists out of each category. Among the 10 awards, one of them will be decided by the public vote only.
This allows the Global Woman awards to be of a balanced nature between public and judge’s decision and is neither a popularity contest nor an individual’s decision. (With the exception of a tied decision between the public and the judges, when it will go the head judge).
What happens if I’m shortlisted?
If you are shortlisted, you will receive an email from Global Woman detailing your achievements and what happens next.
We will also publish our shortlist on the Global Woman website on 15th June 2020 and share your achievements via our social media.
Once shortlisted, you will be invited to attend the Virtual Global Woman Summit so you will be there when we announce the winners.
The winners will also be featured in the Global Woman Magazine
When and where is the award’s ceremony?
The Global Woman Awards 2020 will be online only. Due to Corona Virus we will not be able to follow our tradition this year, which usually brings together hundreds of people around the world in a Red Carpet and Grand Gala Dinner. However we will make sure to raise media awareness around the Awards online ceremony.
Can we get feedback if we have been unsuccessful?
Unfortunately, due to the amount of nominations, we are unable to offer feedback for specific individuals.
Does being a nominee and a speaker at the Global Woman Summit give any advantage to the nominee?
Only in the sense that the speaker will have some more visibility in the promotion of the Global Woman Summit, however the public voting and the judges decision will have been made before the Summit and the awards has taken place. It is for you as the nominator and the nominee to generate publicity and visibility for any other activities.

Note: Should a nominee wish to be a speaker at the Global Woman Summit they can contact us
How can I keep up to date?
If you have been nominated, you will receive emails from Global Woman throughout the process, detailing what’s happening next and whether you have been shortlisted or not.
You can also follow us on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Linkedin for updates and more.
